Addition to the coaching team for next season

After what can only be considered a quite sensational 2021/22 season, we are keen to ensure that we build upon that success as we return to level 7 rugby and the restructured Counties 1 Kent league.

Having previously unveiled Joe Simpson as incoming Head Coach, I am delighted to announce that Paul Humphries will also be returning to Bromley to work alongside Joe as Assistant Coach, specialising in Strength and Conditioning.

Paul has a very impressive rugby CV. Having started rugby at Blackheath from the age of 6, he moved to Bromley at 11 where he played junior rugby through to 16. Paul moved back to Blackheath age 16, due to its link with London Leisure College, where he ran out for the 1st XV in the National Leagues on many occasions. Paul has since gone on to play for Old Elthamians and Westcombe Park, proudly winning caps for both England Counties and Kent.

Joe and Paul have already been working hard to put plans in place for next season. With a young, hard working squad they are confident that they can build on the success achieved last season and can’t wait to get started.

We are still looking to recruit further for next season, so if you would like to join our rugby community as a coach, player or physio please do get in touch with Joe (07913 993662), Paul (07581 484341) or myself (07734 688440).
