During the summer of 2020, we held two major fundraisers to secure the future of the club once the COVID-19 restrictions were lifted. Your donations via GoFundMe and Crowdfunder, together with ‘Matched Funding’ from Sport England raised a colossal £28,792 during that difficult time.
We decided to incentivise donations of £50 and over by offering the donor the opportunity to post their photo or company logo onto a new pitch-side board. This really kick started the appeal and inspired many individuals and local businesses to donate. Recently, three Home Crowd boards were erected alongside the first team pitch including close to 60 individual photos, three squad photographs and many local company logos. When you next visit the club, you will see every ‘shape and size’ on the boards which truly represents the club wide and cross community effort and appeal of these fundraisers.
Bromley RFC, being Bromley RFC, have had approximately two dozen individuals who have donated more than £50 each and are yet to send in a mug shot. If you are one of these shy individuals, please contact me (details below). Home Crowd board four is filling fast and is still open to those yet to donate. If you, your family, your squad, or a local business wish to become part of the Home Crowd, please contact me without delay as we only have permission for a total of five boards.#
