Rugby is one of the fastest growing female sports in the UK and is seeing a surge in interest at all levels. At Bromley RFC, we launched a dedicated girls section in September 2023 with ambitious plans to grow the girls offering over the following five seasons.
“Our vision at Bromley RFC is for all female players to have equal opportunities to their male counterparts as they progress through age grade rugby and beyond. We want girls to not only begin their rugby journey with us but to enjoy it and remain with us throughout their lives.”
Our coaching team has an overarching view of all female players at the club and has developed a player centric pathway through mini and youth grade rugby providing maximum playing opportunities in line with RFU regulations. We currently run 3 dedicated teams for the girls once they commence contact rugby at under 9 (year 4) and will add further teams as the girls progress through youth rugby or demand dictates.
Training takes place at our home ground on Barnet Wood Road, Hayes every Sunday from September to April. Whether your daughter has played before and is looking for a new club or has never picked up a ball, our coaches will tailor training to their specific needs in a fun and friendly environment.
All of our coaches have DBS Enhanced Certificates and, in addition, we have numerous paediatric first aiders spread across all age groups.
