Bromley RFC is a vibrant community sports club with over 13 squads across 12 age groups from U6 to U16 academy teams (16,17 & 18 year olds) and 3 senior teams. Our first XV play in the RFU London and South East League.
We have an active membership of over 440 together with their families, friends, guests and visiting clubs, our monthly footfall is over 3,500 visitors. We also have very active cricket and tennis sections which ensure year-round attendance. As a recent response to the COVID pandemic, we have become an O2 Touch Rugby Centre and Womans Fitness Centre with Saturday morning sessions attracting some 150 men and women to the club per session.
Additionally, we host an annual rugby festival and a separate annual beer festival with over 3,500 visitors at these events.
We have a very active club website and a vibrant club Facebook page which has become the hub of club communication and the central information resource for all members.
Our 15-acre site in Hayes, Bromley has first-class facilities including:
Bromley RFC is a Government registered Community Amateur Sports Club, open to all, for all. The club’s aim is that each and every player, coach and supporter embodies the RFU Core Values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoinment, Discipline & Sportsmanship whilst ensuring all have fun.
We encourage players of every age to be the best version of themselves that they can be both on and off the rugby pitch.
Some of our past mini and youth players have gone on to play at the highest level, including:
Mike Friday has been the head coach of the United States national rugby sevens team since summer 2014. Mike captained the England national sevens team and played for Wasps and Harlequins. Mike was also one of our Minis & Juniors.
Sean Reffell has played for England U18, U20 and has recently broken into Saracens first team. Sean holds the Saracens tackle record with an astonishing 39 tackles in a match against Worcester Warriors. Sean also played for our Minis & Juniors.
Gabriel Ibitoye has played for England U20 and made his Harlequins debut against Saracens in November 2017. Gabriel started his rugby career playing for Bromley Minis and Juniors.
All three have played at an elite level and have been involved with Club coaching – so who knows where our next successful youngsters will be playing!
As a community sports club giving back to the local community is very important to the Club. We have supported many good causes over the years including donations to the A&E staff at the local Princess Royal Hospital during the recent pandemic. The club’s Annual Bike Ride is now in its 26th year having raised £175,000 for many local charity organisations.
We are inclusive, diverse and maintain the highest safeguarding and anti-bullying standards and we are proud of our record on these issues.
BRFC is at the heart of the local community, but we could not provide the facilities and sporting opportunities without the help and support of our corporate sponsors – Tinklin Springall Solicitors, Godden Structural, Financial Eye, Alexanders Plumbing & Heating, Loughman Builders, Kestrel, Lowfield Systems, Innovative Displays Limited, Daniel Mercers Family Funeral Directors and Bridges Logistics to name but a few.
We would love you to join our “team” of sponsors and in return, you can:
